Faculty Bios
Bill received his theological training at Fuller Theological Seminary earning a MA in Biblical Studies. He serves the Vineyard as the Sr. Pastor of the Inland Vineyard
Christian Fellowship, Overseer of the Western Region, and a member of the Vineyard National Board of Directors. He is active in the development of the Trinity
Learning Community as founder and President and is used ecumenically as an Advisor and Conference Speaker.
Travis Twyman has two master's degrees from Hope International University in Fullerton, CA. He planted and pastored the Beach Vineyard in Huntington Beach,
CA for five years. Travis has been on the faculty at both Vanguard University and Hope. He is also the Author of Trinity Learning Community's
"The Bigger Story of God". In addition to Travis' duties with Trinity Learning Community he is also
the co-pastor of the Inland Vineyard Christian Fellowship.
Bill has his Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Boston, MA. He was an adjunct faculty member at Wheaton College in their wilderness
learning program, the director of the Year of the Bible program at William Carey International University in Pasadena, CA and the director of Vineyard School of
Pastoral Ministry in Champaign, IL. He is now one of the founding members of Trinity Learning Community and serves as Academic Dean. He is also a part-time
pastor at the Inland Vineyard in Corona, CA. He is the author of the book The Quest for the Radical Middle: A History of the Vineyard, as well as a number of
published courses through Vineyard Biblical Institute. He has traveled throughout the world teaching seminars on the power of the Kingdom of God as well as his
version of the Bigger Story of God called
Nothinsgonnastopit!.
Craig Goodman, with over 25 years of leadership, teaching, and ministry experience, serves as the Executive Director of Trinity Learning Community. He has two
Master's degrees, an MA in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA and an MS in Systems Analysis/Applied Mathematics from the United
States Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA. He served as the Western Regional Overseer and as a National Board Member of the Vineyard, a Community
of Churches, and was the Senior Pastor of the Santa Clarita Vineyard in Southern California. Since 1982 Craig has also served in the United States Navy and was
promoted to his current rank of Captain in 2004. He is a naval aviator, with over 2,500 flight hours operating naval aircraft worldwide. He was selected in 1997 to be
the Commanding Officer of an aircraft squadron and awarded the Meritorious Service Medal by the President of the United States at the conclusion of that
assignment.
Dr. Leah Coulter has an MDiv from Oral Roberts University and a PhD from Fuller Theological Seminary in Practical Theology. She is a professor at The King's
College and Seminary in Van Nuys, California, and is Sr. Associate Pastor of the Channel Islands Vineyard Church, Oxnard, California, where she ministers
alongside her husband, Bill. She has also taught Healing II at Vineyard Leadership Institute, Columbus, Ohio. Leah speaks regularly at conferences and seminars
on the topic of repentance and forgiveness, based on her recently published book, Rediscovering the Power of the Repentance and Forgiveness, Finding Healing
and Justice for Reconcilable and Irreconcilable Wrongs.
Dr. Peter H. Davids has served, with his wife, Judy, as a missionary educator in Europe providing biblical-theological, counseling services, and training to churches
and Christian leaders in both the German-speaking world and the surrounding areas of Eastern and Western Europe. Now residing in Stafford (Houston) Texas,
Peter continues to work as a self-employed biblical scholar and church consultant with a focus on Europe and Canada. He has now written major commentaries on
every one of the General Epistles in the New Testament such as The Epistle of James: A Commentary on the Greek Text (in the New International Greek Testament
Commentary Series).
Dr. Jim Egli directs Successful Small Groups and serves as the Small Group Pastor at the Vineyard Church (Urbana, IL), where he oversees a growing system of
over 100 home and specialty groups. He has published fifteen books about small groups, evangelism and discipleship. Jim has a PhD in Small Group Communication
from Regent University. He and his wife Vicki have four awesome children.
Mark Gordon Fee received his MDiv from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. From 1988 to 2005 he was the senior pastor of the Vineyard Metronorth Church
in Melrose, MA. In 2006, he launched First Loved Ministries as a vehicle to provide God's people with tools and experiences that move God's incredible love for us
from our heads to our hearts to the world. As both an accomplished musician/worship leader/song writer and dynamic speaker Mark now travels full time and
specializes in teaching two seminars, "First Loved to Love" and "Getting Along in the Family of God," which help people grow with God and in relationship to one
another.
Dr. Cherith Fee-Nordling is a professor of Systematic Theology. Her areas of interest include early and contemporary Trinitarian theology, Biblical theology, the
community of the Church, gender relations, and worship. Cherith holds graduate degrees in counseling psychology from the College of Notre Dame (Belmont, CA),
in theology from Regent College (Vancouver, BC) and has a PhD in systematic theology from the University of St. Andrews (Scotland).
Mark Fields currently serves as the National Missions Coordinator for the Association of Vineyard Churches in the United States. Prior to assuming his current
position, he was the Senior Pastor of the Vineyard Community Church in Pomona, California, for more than twenty years. Mark is a graduate of Fuller Seminary,
did post-graduate research in New Testament at London Bible College, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Intercultural Studies at the School of World Mission at
Fuller Seminary. Mark has traveled, and ministered, extensively around the world especially in Latin America.
Dr. Peter Fitch earned his DMin from Fuller Theological Seminary and is dean of ministry studies at St. Stephen's University in St. Stephen, New Brunswick,
Canada. He is also the senior pastor of St. Croix Vineyard, a church that he and his wife Mary Ellen planted in 1992, and the Canadian board representative for
Vineyard Biblical Institute. Peter is the author of Learning to Suffer Well, a devotional workbook for individuals and small groups, and he has a passion for building
healthy leaders and healthy communities.
Bob Harper is the pastor of the Ventura Vineyard and currently he serves the Western Region of the Vineyard as the Regional Pastoral Care Leader and as a
church planting coordinator. In addition to planting the Ventura Vineyard, Bob led a church plant in Siberia and participated as a key leader in two other American
church plants. He regularly coaches church planters and pastors and leads seminars helping pastors and planters understand their call and define their vision.
Dr. Aaron Hebbard currently serves Community Christian College as Professor of Theology and the Arts as well as Chair of the Faculty. He also serves as an
adjunct professor at Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, Trinity Learning Community Graduate School of Ministry, and as ethics advisor for Genesis Pictures, an
independent film company. Aaron earned his Bachelor's degree from Vanguard University in 1992 in Religion with a concentration in Biblical Studies. He earned his
Master's degree in 1996 also from Vanguard University in Biblical Studies. In 2005 Aaron earned his PhD from University of Glasgow in the field of Literature,
Theology and the Arts. He and his lovely wife Nicole have one boy and three girls.
Dr. Bruce Humphrey serves as Sr. Pastor of Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church. Bruce graduated from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary,
earned his DMin Degree from San Francisco Theological Seminary, and completed his PhD in Religion from Trinity Theological Seminary. Bruce has been married
to Kathy for 31 years. They have four adult children and two grandchildren.
Dr. Todd Hunter is the national director of The Alpha Course USA; he is formerly the National Director of Vineyard Churches USA. In addition to his work with
Alpha, Todd is a regular speaker at conferences around America. Todd received his DMin from George Fox University in 2006 and serves in an adjunct capacity
at seminaries such as George Fox, Fuller, and Western. Originally from southern California, Todd and his family now reside in Eagle, Idaho where he most enjoys
family dinners, dates with his wife Debbie, reading and an occasional round of golf.
Dr. Charles H. Kraft is the Sun-Hee Kwak Professor of Anthropology and Intercultural Communication in the School of Intercultural Studies at Fuller Theological
Seminary. He has served as a missionary in Northern Nigeria, a professor in African languages at Michigan State University and UCLA, and part-time professor of
anthropology at Biola University. His areas of expertise include Biblical Christianity and culture (including contextualization), communicating biblical Christianity,
anthropology and Christianity, cross-cultural Christian theology, world-view, spiritual warfare, and inner healing.
Derek Morphew, Ph.D., (University of Cape Town, South Africa), was the senior pastor of the Vineyard Christian Fellowship in Kenilworth, Cape Town, South Africa,
a church planter, serves on the National Team of the Association of Vineyard Churches in South Africa and is the international Director of Vineyard Biblical Institute.
He is the author of the book Breakthrough.
Steve Nicholson has his BA in Government and International Relations from Carleton College, Northfield, MN. He is on the national board of the Vineyard is the
national Church Planting Coordinator. He is also the senior pastor of the Evanston Vineyard in Evanston, Il, a church that has planted many other churches.
Dr. Don Williams has his PhD in New Testament from Union Theological Seminary in New York. He spent many years as a Presbyterian pastor before planting
Coast Vineyard in La Jolla, CA. Don has written numerous books, such as his latest, Start Here: Kingdom Essentials for Christians and has traveled the world as
one of the Vineyard's finest conference speakers. He was the principle author of the Vineyard Statement of Faith. He is now devoting much of his time to chronicling
the movement of the Kingdom of God through his web site,
