The Lord revealed that His mercy and compassion were available to all through the biblical gifts of the Holy Spirit; that what is in the Bible is supposed to be a regular part of church life. So John began to teach and train his church to 'do the stuff' of the Bible that he had formerly only read about. And The Vineyard - A Community of Churches, was born in the late 70's. Although John Wimber went home to be with Jesus in November 1997, we are one of the fastest growing church-planting movements in the world today.
