![]() Missions We at the Inland Vineyard believe that God has called us to minister globally to the nations. Before our Lord Jesus departed from earth, he said: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:18-19). This is an incredibly powerful statement which demands faith in Jesus Christ, validating His power in the lives of Christians and their commitment to Him. This verse acts as a clear claim to Christ’s omnipotence, and therefore His deity. We believe that this is his mandate to the Church. We, therefore, are committed to cross-cultural ministry as an essential part of our calling as a local church in Corona to reach those in close proximity to us, as well as the unreached people groups globally as defined in Acts 1:8. Like other Vineyards, because of the cost, and complexity of ministering cross-culturally, we have found that individual churches are most effective when they work together in partnership with other Vineyard churches. That is why the Inland Vineyard is currently connected with two partnerships: Baja California and Indonesia. Currently, the Inland Vineyard has a Global Missions church planting concern for two cross-cultural countries: Mexico and Indonesia.
Mexico: Teaming together with other Vineyard churches in Southern California we are focusing on church planting through the Mexico Partnership in the Baja Peninsula. Our partnership is with the La Vina Church in Mexicali, pastored by Marco Espinoza, and their current outreaches in Coronitas, Ejido Durango, San Luis, and Ensenada. Our goal is to see Vineyard churches planted and established in major towns as far south as La Paz and Cabo San Lucas. Recently, we have been assisting in the construction of the orphanage in Coronitas, Mexicali pastored by Ricardo Hernandez. Calendar:
We are part of the Indonesian Partnership cooperating with other Vineyard churches in the U.S. and South Asia. Our goal is to train indigenous church planters (CPs) who can concentrate on reaching “unreached” people groups. These goals will be achieved by developing Communities of Hope throughout the archipelago. This includes training CPs in Scriptures, worship, Vineyard values, community development, and micro enterprises. We currently have training for established churches and home groups, as well as sending local teams to assist in tsunami and earthquake disaster relief. This year we have sent teams (youth and young adult) to minister at the Jakarta orphanage and to encourage church planters in their areas of ministry by preaching, prayer ministry time, and fellowship during June and July. We have also done worship and leadership training during the month of August. Calendar:
